Clearing the Decks

In the throws of getting a couple of builds done things regress into pretty near total chaos in the shop with tools, parts, coffee cups (and an occasional beer bottle) finding themselves strewn about any available flat surface.  Coming up for air with all the major work complete on BBWs #26 & #27 I got a friendly reminder from the house mate to get my shit together.

It was late and his was the only disc brake compatible road wheel (from BBW#18) I could find to check my stay alignment.  He’s a good bike mechanic and wheel builder so it was dead straight and hope my gratitude for the hand getting these two nude beauties into action is acceptable recompense for the mess.

Anyhow the drawers of the tool chest are rearranged in a more logical manner, the golden table is clear, and I may have the means to get some machine shop time to cut some of the hand cutting from my process and I am excited about the next build for BBW.  Looks like at this point it may be a rack for a friend’s motorcycle as no one is knocking on the door to commission me to build BBW #28.

  • I am going to ask to build your next bike.

I want to build one for just about everyone I cross paths with. Everyone who is as excited as I am about riding, racing, and living a life of bikes.
